Chris was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 30, and as we’ve heard with many of our guests diagnosed late in life, he and his doctor originally thought he had type 2 diabetes.  With the type 2 treatments not doing anything to help him feel better, he and his doctor then realized he had type 1 diabetes instead.

I loved hearing so much about how and why Chris decided to start GlucoLift, and some of the observations he made about what he wanted in an ideal product.  We heard about what it meant for Chris to keep things all-natural and as environmentally friendly as possible.

GlucoLift

Chris was very open to hearing about what flavors people would like – while he can’t, of course, guarantee they’ll produce all of the flavor requests, he said they will certainly read and consider all requests that people send in. You can use their website, their Facebook page, or Twitter (@GlucoLift), to send in any feedback or ideas you have.

After the show I was chatting with George, he said something that stuck with me:

“How cool is it that a person with diabetes can make something that they use, they benefit from, and that is also a great contribution to the diabetes community.”

Thank you for all you do, Chris!
